Welcome to St. Nicholas

St Nicholas Churh

St. Nicholas is an ancient parish and church. The church was restored during 1991 to serve the new housing development of Warndon Villages to the north east of the city.

The church building is Church of England, but at the time of the recent restoration the church was established in a partnership scheme with the Methodist and United Reformed churches.

The current Priest-in-charge is Anglican, and appointed under the auspices of the diocese of Worcester, but the worship and witness encompasses the ethos of the three churches which make up the partnership.

This is reflected in associate ministers in the pastoral team from both the Methodist and United Reformed churches, who conduct worship on certain Sundays each month.

Church life is welcoming and varied under the leadership of the Revd. David Ryan, reflecting an even share of all ages. The services are well attended and spiritual and there is a thriving and lively work with children and young people.

St. Nicholas has a warm welcome for all who come to join the worship and fellowship. This web site seeks to reflect the life and spirituality of this Christian community, and to attract prayer for God's work. To give focus for prayer we have a daily prayer diary.

The building itself is hardly suitable for modern needs in worship and church life, yet has the advantage of the association of many hundreds of years of worship and prayer, which gives it a timeless spiritual and prayerful atmosphere.
